ABOUT REGISTRATION

To register for the conference without the submission of an abstract, or to reserve your seat at the training days, click on the REGISTER button.
If you wish to submit an abstract, please go to the SUBMIT section and follow the instructions inside.
As soon as an abstract is accepted, the author will receive an email notification, prompting him/her to proceed with the conference registration.
Accepted payment methods are bank transfer or credit card through a secure payment gateway. Upon reception of the payment, the authors will receive the registration confirmation. In addition, students* will be required to send documentary evidence of current university enrollment.

FEE CATEGORIES

  • Full event (DAY 1 + DAY 2 + DAY 3):
    • General attendee: 200€ (included up to two posters)
    • Fulltime Students*: 100€ (included up to two posters)
  • DAY1 only:
    • Free of charge for all categories of participants except for:
    • Poster submission: 100€ (included up to two posters + Day 2 or Day 3)

Registration fees are VAT included

All transaction fees shall be paid by the sender

JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUE

EMSO TSC conference may decide to publish a special issue with one or more partner journals. Manuscripts can be submitted to the special issue of the journal according to instructions provided in the invitation letter after the Conference. Each manuscript will then be reviewed according to the journal policy.
EMSO TSC and Frontiers in Marine Science (https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/marine-science) have initiated a process with the aim for a partnership and publication of a special issue.

BEST POSTER AWARD

This award seeks to recognize the best research submitted and presented at the EMSO TSC 2021 conference by PhD Students and Early Career Researchers as first authors.
If your abstract will be accepted by the Scientific Committee, after completing the registration process you will be allowed and welcomed to upload your poster.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Registered Conference posters could be eligible and considered for the award of best conference poster if the first author is a student or early-career researcher.

 

CONDITIONS TO BE ELIGIBLE

To be eligible and considered for the award, you should meet the following criteria:

  • the first author
  • a student currently enrolled as a university student
  • or early-career researcher: PhD completed after December 31st, 2018

SELECTION PROCESS

After having received the poster, the selection will be performed by members of the Scientific Committee.

 

BENEFITS

The winner of the EMSO TSC 2021 Best Conference Poster Award will be awarded a publication fee waiver for the full-paper submission to our partner journal and a congratulatory certificate.

CONFERENCE CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. Personal substitution: if a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason, she/he may, with previous agreement from the conference organisers, substitute (her/ himself) with another person from the same institute/organization.
  2. Cancellation effects: where the registrant is unable to attend, and it is not possible to transfer her/his place to another person, then the following refund arrangements apply:
    1. more than 15 days before the event: 100% of the registration fees will be refunded less a cancellation fee of 50€ if the cancellation occurred in written form.
    2. less than 15 days before the event: no refund will be eligible.

Refunds will be made only via bank transfer to the payee nominated account and all bank charges will be the registrant’s responsibility.

Failed visa applications: obtaining entry visas is the sole responsibility of participants and failed visa applications are not eligible for a refund.
