Francesco Simeone was born in Roma, Italy, in 1976. He received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in particle physics from the University Sapienza Rome, Italy, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. He has a consolidated experience acquired in 10-years interdisciplinary work in long-term measurements and analysis of time series acquired by underwater cabled observatories. He is currently a researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV),Rome, Italy.
